IOC sanctions 12 athletes for failing anti-doping tests at London 2012

The International Olympic Committee has sanctioned 12 athletes for failing anti-doping tests at the London Olympic Summer Games in 2012.

 

All of the athletes has tested positive for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (Turinabol). These are the athletes sanctioned by IOC: Andrey DEMANOV, Russia, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Oleksandr DRYGOL, Ukraine, Athletics, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Cristina IOVU, Moldova, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Alexandr IVANOV, Russia, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Hripsime KHURSHUDYAN, Armenia, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Iryna KULESHA, Belarus, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Rauli TSIREKIDZE, Georgia, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Margaryta TVERDOKHLIB, Ukraine, Athletics, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Almas UTESHOV, Kazakhstan, Athletics, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Nataliya ZABOLOTNAYA, Russia, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Anatoli CIRICU, Moldova, Weightlifting, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Yuliya Zaripova, Russia, Athletics, dehydrochlormethyltestosterone IOC has also suspended 16 athletes from the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games.
