Anti-Doping Rule Violations related to 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games

Biathlon

  • Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle, Germany, Methylhexaneamine, 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

Bobsleigh

  • William Frullani, Italy, Dimethylpentylamine (Methylhexaneamine), 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
    Sample collected on February 18 in the Olympic Village.

    • Cross Country

      • Marina Lisogor, Ukraine, trimetazidine, 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
        (Trimetazidine was put on the WADA Prohibited list in 2014.
        The substance was added because of emerging patterns of drug use)
      • Johannes Dürr, Austria, EPO, 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games (Out-of-competition test in Austria)

      Ice Hockey

      • Vitalijs Pavlovs, Latvia, Methylhexaneamine, 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games. Sample collected on February 19.
      • Ralf Freibergs, Latvia, dehydrochloromethyltestosterone (Oral Turinabol). Sample collected on February 20 - after Latvia-Canada Men's play-off quarterfinals.
      • Nicklas Bäckström, Sweden, pseudoephedrine, 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games. (Received a public warning from IOC and will get the silver medal).

      Before the games three athletes tested positive for prohibited substances:
