Nada Germany regrets Berlinger announcement

The National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA) regrets the announcement of the Swiss company Berlinger Special AG to withdraw from the anti-doping business in the short to medium term.

For years, Berlinger has been the leading manufacturer of doping control equipment that reliably meets the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The sudden retreat leaves a big gap, which should be closed quickly. WADA has published initial information on how to proceed. NADA Germany will be looking for a new manufacturer as soon as possible. Until then, the foundation will use the remaining material "BEREG-KIT". As far as the use of the "BEREG-KITS Geneva" will be required, NADA Germany, together with the WADA-accredited laboratories in Cologne and Kreischa and it's testing partners increased quality assurance measures. "Maintaining the doping control system and the integrity of all related processes is a top priority for NADA Germany", said NADA Germany CEO, Dr. Andrea Gotzmann.
